Luke Doesn't Even Drink Milk
LUKE, MAMA, and DADA are sitting in a row on the sofa under the warm yellow glow of a floor lamp. Sesame Street: Old School is playing on the television.
SESAME STREET VOICE-OVER: Milk. Do you ever wonder where it came from? Milk. Do you ever wonder where it comes from before the carton?
LUKE: Dis boring.
MAMA and DADA do not reply. They sit staring at the television screen, mesmerized.
SESAME STREET VOICE-OVER: Milk is made in the body of the cow. Most of the milk we drink is made by cows.
LUKE: Dis boring, Dada. Play trains.
MAMA and DADA do not reply.
SESAME STREET VOICE-OVER: So twice a day, on farms all over America, in the morning and in the evening, it's milking time... Twice a day, on farms all over America, in the morning and in the evening, it's milking time.
LUKE: Boring! Dis boring!
DADA: Quiet, Luke! Mama and Dada are watching their show!
I don't know, Luke may have a point; that milk segment is LONG. Not quite as long as the fire station one that implies that only men can be firefighters, but still. Long.
