We've been incredibly busy for the past couple of weeks, what with Gramma's visit, Easter, and birthday celebrations for Luke. He's five and the big party is tomorrow. But we had time to stop yesterday and take a photo of the kids with this enormous yellow chair. They couldn't sit on it because it had just been painted. I'm planning to buy two of these in purple. Only in the regular size, of course. Although if I bought the large versions, maybe I could give up my diet for good.
This oversize chair reminds me to share this blog devoted to tiny modern furniture with you. (Thanks, Sara O'Leary!)
Oh lovely. This made me think of F. Scott & Zelda ... here's a bit from what my elder son insists on calling the interwebs:
[Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald] "rented the estate, "'llerslie,' a nineteenth-century Greek revival mansion on the Delaware River near Wilmington, Delaware. They loved the wide lawns stretching down to the river. Because the rooms were enormous, Zelda ordered custom-made, oversized furniture from a Philadelphia manufacturer. The giant couches and chairs made those sitting them appear child-like, but it was a novel solution to the problem."
