you are a very cool mama letting her play in the mud in that lovely clobber. How did you pick her up, anyway??? were you wearing a plastic poncho?
we have a famous photograph of a niece with her HANDS on her muddy face, in similar mode. Something has shocked her in the middle of mud-time. It's quite an attitude. She'll be 21 next year so I expect it will feature at the party.

Well, it was more a matter of sheer fatigue rather than being a "cool mama." She's unstoppable, that girl.
It was really warm that day, luckily, so I just stripped her down to her diaper before picking her up. I still got a bit muddy, though. She had a change of clothes in the car.
