That's pretty funny stuff. My mother-in-law got my eldest "Sleeping Beauty." My eyes are still bleeding

Niiiice. Did your MIL suggest that letter combo, do you think?

When I was a kid I remember someone insisting that the word "horrible" was a bad bad bad word. We looked it up in the dictionary and couldn't figure out what he was talking about.

rofl. the boys had a very similar leapfrog thing that i kept in the backseat of the car - it's how they learned their lowercase letters! - and, er, my friends and i spent a hilarious evening trying to get it to say "bad" words. ;^) it was too smart for us *most* of the time.

A lot of the leapfrog toys are like that. One of my friends pointed out to me that the leapfrog Caterpillar http://www.amazon.com/LeapFrog-Alphabet-Pal%C2%AE-Caterpillar-Colors/dp/B00005OWEP could be "baby's first porn soundtrack" One of the settings is for letter sounds and, well, given that kids tend to hit the same buttons over and over you end up hearing sounds like "oh oh oh oh ah ah ah heh heh oh oh". It's a little disturbing. We ended up not using that setting until he was a little older and had some letter recognition already.
