Luke and his friend Ella have a Christmas tradition -- every year they get together to decorate gingerbread. (Yes, this year it was one of those lame packaged kits -- my excuse is that I'm old and pregnant. That's my excuse for everything right now.) We started two years ago when they weren't at all clear on the concept. Back then they sat at in those very places at that very table and indiscriminately shovelled cookie dough and candies into their mouths. I don't think Ella had even tasted candy before then. Turns out she's definitely a fan. This year they were pretty focused on the decorating part -- but they still managed to ingest some candy. Here they are on a sugar high after they'd finished:
Hope your holidays are as fun, even if you end up sleeping on your couch instead of jumping on it.
What a gorgeous couple of pics. I think I'll go eat some more sugar myself. Hope you had a brilliant day, take care.
