Another gorgeous book cover -- the New York Review Children's Collection's edition of Penelope Farmer's Charlotte Sometimes. Lizzie Skurnick mentioned this book today on her Shelf Discovery facebook page and I vaguely remembered reading it as a child. Can't wait to get my hands on a copy (preferably this one) and revisit it. (I had a wonderful dream recently that the New York Review people sent me copies of all their children's books. If only they would...)
How funny! I woke up to The Cure song "Charlotte Sometimes" this morning. I didn't know it was an homage to a book.

Hi Maudling! Yes, and when I googled the book, I noticed a lot of people have blogged about that. Apparently The Cure used a lot of lines from the book in their lyrics.

I love this book! Also, the writer Christy Ann Conlin is totally obsessed with it. As delightful to revisit as an adult as it was the first time around. And yes, such a lovely edition.
