Everyday Beauty shows you how to use recycled sewing patterns to make a string of paper flower lights. Very pretty. (She used a string of silicone dipped electric lights, which is probably safer than using plain ones but I still wouldn't leave these on when you're not there.)

Pulp Fashion: The Art of Isabelle de Borchgrave

These dresses are made entirely of paper.

So is that one, even the pearls. Belgian artist Isabelle de Borchgrave is primarily a painter but she worked with costume historians and young fashion designers to create elaborate paper dresses inspired by early European paintings and significant costumes housed in museums around the world. The show, Pulp Fashion, is currently on exhibit at The Legion of Honor in San Francisco. Sometimes I really miss that city.Thanks to Carrie for the link.

This scarf is absolutely gorgeous, isn't it? I had a hard time choosin just one thing to feature from this etsy shop, Ava Original. It sells the work of a German felt and textile artist who makes scarves, belts, dresses and more that look like they'd work as fairy costumes for A Midsummer Night's Eve. Felt isn't just for winter.

Peter and the Wolf Paper Puppet Theatre

The theatre is a free download (apparently it is just the right size for a cereal box) and the Peter and the Wolf puppets are $5.50 from Sarah Jane. She will be designing more puppets for this theatre, and some of them will be free.

Elsa Mora's Paper Cut Pop-up Book in Progress

Artist Elsa Mora often works in paper and in fact she has a whole blog devoted to paper cutting. Currently she is working on a paper cut pop-up book of the fables of La Fontaine for the French publishing house Editions Auzou and she is sharing her progress as she works on the illustrations on her blog. So beautiful and so inspiring! I'll be following this with interest and cannot wait to get my hands on a finished copy.
